MAKING IN CIRCULATION
循環するものづくり
MB Social Project is the collective name for MADISONBLUE’s initiatives that extend the value created through its creative practice into society. What MADISONBLUE has always valued goes beyond the act of making clothes: making use of surplus materials generated through production; giving carefully crafted garments new roles and new value, and creating opportunities for our customers’ choices to inspire new forms of expression and creativity. The people and places we encounter through our daily work, the sensibilities we discover, and the experiences we have gathered over the years have gradually expanded beyond the act of making clothes, creating new connections with society. This page introduces our charity initiatives, sustainable approaches to making, and other projects through which MADISONBLUE engages with society with the same sincerity and care that it brings to creating clothes.

Since its founding, MADISONBLUE has regarded sustainability as a natural part of its creative practice. Using surplus fabrics left over from production to create limited-edition gifts and artworks - and, in some cases, developing them into products—has brought a fresh sense of joy to our everyday work. By caring for these precious fragments and giving them new life, we hope to continue developing this approach under the name “SustainBlue,” bringing together MADISONBLUE and the idea of sustainability.
Charity
チャリティ活動
MADISONBLUE has always valued timeless fashion and its archives. With this in mind, and as part of its approach to sustainability, the brand has never held seasonal sales since its founding. Charity sales were held in 2018 and 2025, turning customers’ purchases into meaningful support for others. MADISONBLUE has also launched an initiative to donate a portion of proceeds from HELLO TEE KIDS to the international NGO Save the Children. The project reflects designer Mariko Nakayama’s wish to support the children who will shape Japan’s future.

MADISONBLUE will continue to collaborate with companies and organizations that share its values, developing a variety of projects that connect the brand with society.
Providing Upcycled Tabliers to Atelier Étoile
MADISONBLUE Co., Ltd. has begun a collaboration with Atelier Étoile Co., Ltd., providing upcycled tabliers (aprons) made from surplus materials generated during garment production. For this initiative, MADISONBLUE’s signature Mimore Flare Back Satin Skirt is deconstructed and reconstructed into tabliers worn by art education facilitators. Through this project, MADISONBLUE aims to develop a new form of collaboration that brings together art education and environmental responsibility.
